For more than 30 years, Fred has shaped environments on five continents — private club communities in Hawaii and Montana, international resorts in Costa Rica and the Caribbean, and elite aquatic environments for America’s most ambitious residential developments. His work has been recognized in industry awards and publications, and his service includes eleven years chairing the Idaho State Board of Landscape Architects.
The Abbotswood mark was drawn from the tools of the craft: a blade of grass and a T-square resolving into a pencil. Greens and browns — earth colors. Precision and freedom at once, the way good landscape architecture begins. For sixteen years it stood for a Northwest practice built on drawing, dirt, and the discipline of getting details right.
The Fogram mark is what that pencil grew into: a planet. As the practice matured across five continents, water itself entered the design vernacular, blue joined green on the palette, and every shape on the abstract globe came to stand for a different place and skill gathered over thirty years.
Yet the two marks are rooted in each other — the seed and the canopy. Northwest to Southwest, Idaho to Arizona: never forgetting where you came from, constantly growing along the way.
In the course of my 34 years in the architectural profession, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of landscape architects… I can say without reservation that none have been more professional nor a pleasure to work with than Fred Ogram.
His projects finish on time, on budget, and the designs are exactly what the customer envisioned. Fred is a true master of landscape architecture and design.
